The Role & Qualification Bar

Working on supply is fast-paced and deeply rewarding. You are the specialist who ensures children have a safe, productive day. You will lead sensory play, facilitate outdoor adventures, and support permanent teams with the daily flow of nursery life.

Qualified Tier:

• Must hold a Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., EYE, CACHE, NNEB, NVQ).
• Please Note: Health & Social Care or Teaching Assistant (TA) qualifications do not meet the "Full and Relevant" criteria for nursery ratios and are not eligible for qualified rates.

Unqualified Tier:

• If you hold a different qualification (like a Degree in an unrelated field) or have 3 months+ of verifiable experience in a private nursery setting, we welcome you as an Unqualified Assistant.

The 2025 PFA Standard: To be counted in ratios, all staff must hold a Full Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate. If you don't have this, you must be willing to complete it immediately to comply with the latest 2025 regulations.
