Nexter was established in 2024, but our experience in childcare and nursery recruitment goes back over 20 years — placing staff across the UK and as far afield as Dubai and Austria.

Every candidate we place has been through a thorough vetting process: face-to-face interview, ID and right to work checks, enhanced DBS, qualifications verified, and a full career history with gap checks. We don't cut corners, because our clients can't afford us to.

What we do differently.
We know nursery managers need two things from an agency: great communication and great staff. Our office is run by former nursery leaders who've booked agency staff themselves — we know your pressures.
Great communication
We're in the office weekdays from 7am and we check messages until 10pm — phone, email or WhatsApp. Send us a shift request and we'll get straight on it. And with our 15-minute callback promise for same-day requests, you won't be left wondering or needing to chase us.
Great nursery staff
Our agency team are all qualified nursery practitioners or have recent UK nursery experience. Everyone is live on the DBS Update Service and holds a safeguarding certificate; our qualified staff also hold Paediatric First Aid.
We prep every temp before they go in — "get on the floor, talk to the children, wipe noses and keep the rooms clean" is heard a lot in our office. We also send regular tips and activity ideas to keep the team sharp.
