A Day in the Life: In Calderdale, our supply staff are treated as part of the family. You will provide high-quality cover, supporting the EYFS framework and bringing fresh energy to every room you enter. You will be responsible for the safety, wellbeing, and engagement of children aged 0-5, working across different rooms to gain a wide range of experience. No two days are the same, but the professional respect you receive is constant.

The Qualification Bar:

• Qualified Tiers: A Level 2 or 3 in Childcare is essential.

• Important Note: Health & Social Care or Teaching Assistant qualifications are not recognized for these specific Early Years positions.

• Unqualified Tier: Staff with other backgrounds are welcomed as Unqualified Assistants provided they have verifiable nursery experience.

• The 2025 Standard: A Full Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate is required to meet statutory ratio guidelines. If you do not have one, you must be willing to attend training.
