Senior Recruitment Consultant - London Nurseries (Birstall Based WF17)

Nexter is young early years recruitment specialist set up in 2024. Our Yorkshire desk is established, and growing at a clip. London is our next major commercial footprint.

We already have dedicated London Business Development on the ground feeding in client meetings and high volumes of inbound permanent vacancies. What we need is a proven, commercially relentless Senior Consultant / Desk Lead based in our Birstall office to take absolute ownership of the London desk: monetising inbound permanent fees while aggressively driving and scaling the day-to-day temp book.

This is a builder’s role. You will have full autonomy over candidate attraction, shift delivery, and execution, with the direct objective of scaling the desk to the point where you hire and lead your own delivery team under you.

What You Bring to the Desk

• Track Record: 2+ years of consistent billing in fast-paced temporary recruitment (Education, Early Years, Healthcare, or Social Care).
• Pace & Commercial Grip: You know how to price temp margins, run fast-turnaround 15-minute shift fills, and leverage perm client relationships into exclusive temp supply.
• Tenacity & Presence: A natural leader on the phone who sets the tempo in the office, hunts out non-trading nurseries, and brings infectious commercial drive.
• Grit: You thrive in building books of business and out-servicing sluggish corporate competitors.

• Strong base salary (£32k–£35k based on proven billing history).
