Nursery Practitioner - Headingley

We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Educator / Nursery Practitioner to join a friendly nursery team in Leeds. In this role, you will:

Provide high-quality childcare and a stimulating curriculum to support children’s emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development.
Assist with planning and delivering a broad, balanced curriculum in line with national and local standards (EYFS).
Support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including developing and implementing Individual Education Plans.
Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and professionals, offering advice and attending meetings as needed.
Prepare reports to support children’s transition to school and participate in educational visits, ensuring health and safety at all times.
Maintain accurate records of children’s progress and act as a key person for a group of children.
Supervise and support students on placement, providing feedback and guidance.
Promote and uphold nursery policies, including safeguarding, equal opportunities, health and safety, and confidentiality.

Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., NNEB, CACHE Diploma, BTEC, NVQ 3, or equivalent).
Experience working in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
Strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to keep accurate records and write reports.
Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and promoting positive behaviour.
Physically able to lift and handle children and equipment.
Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
