we need a nursery nurse in Roundhay that can provide the early years with education-based activities. your responsibilities will include:

  • Create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for young children.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that meet the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Oversee playtime, ensuring children's safety and well-being.
  • Change nappies, assist with toileting, and meet the children's basic needs.
  • Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks.
  • Observe and document children's development and progress.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment within the nursery.
  • Follow nursery policies and procedures.

requirements 

  • The most common requirement is a childcare qualification, typically a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare or a related field like Early Years Education.
  • Some nurseries might accept relevant experience combined with a willingness to gain a qualification.
  • A genuine love for working with children and a passion for early years education.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A strong commitment to child safety and well-being.
  • An Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service check) is mandatory for working with children in the UK.
