Our client is a unique nursery that provides an exceptional learning environment for children aged 3 months to 5 years. About the Role:

As an Atelierista, you will play a vital role in nurturing children's creativity and artistic expression within the dedicated Art Studio. You will act as both an art teacher and a qualified nursery professional, fostering a stimulating and safe environment for children of all ages.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspire and guide artistic exploration: Design and curate engaging art projects that spark curiosity and experimentation in children of all ages.
  • Facilitate open-ended learning: Encourage independent exploration with diverse art materials and techniques, fostering problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Observe and document development: Document children's artistic journeys through photographs, notes, and reflections, celebrating their unique creative expressions.
  • Collaborate with Early Years Educators: Work closely with classroom staff to integrate artistic experiences into the overall curriculum.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating environment: Ensure the Art Studio is well-organized, accessible, and stocked with age-appropriate materials.
  • Provide sensitive care and support: As a qualified Level 3 Nursery Nurse, offer basic care and support to children as needed, adhering to nursery policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or a related field.
  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant artistic field (e.g., Fine Arts, Visual Arts Education).
  • Minimum of 1-year experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development across different age groups.
  • Passion for fostering creativity and artistic expression in children.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Patient, nurturing, and energetic individual with a calm and positive demeanor.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and remain calm under pressure.
  • Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
